Sainte-Anne-du-Castellet · Var · Provence
A place, a family, a philosophy.
Our story
Located in Sainte-Anne-du-Castellet, in the north of the Bandol appellation, the estate was built up gradually around the work of the Bronzo family: Baptistin, then Michel and Louis, and today Julien and Nicolas.
The vineyard is farmed organically and certified biodynamic, continuing the growing practices established back in 1972.

« Our ambition? To understand the character of each vintage as fully as possible, so we can pay the finest tribute to this wonderful terroir. »
Our journey
The story of La Bastide Blanche begins in 1972, when Baptistin Bronzo acquires around ten hectares carved out of the former Château de Castillon estate, in the Bandol hinterland.
Michel and Louis, Baptistin's sons, introduced to winegrowing from an early age on the family property in the Luberon, vinify the first vintage of La Bastide Blanche.
The 1980s are devoted to restructuring the estate and building the cellar. The vineyard's many plots reflect the geological diversity of the Bandol appellation.
The third generation — Julien and Nicolas, Michel's sons — joins the family estate and commits fully to a dedicated, responsible viticulture.
From 2012, the entire range is certified organic (AB), formalising growing practices that have always respected the soils and biodiversity.
A new milestone is reached with Biodyvin certification. La Bastide Blanche is today the oldest Bandol estate certified biodynamic.
